| Just six hours west of Houston, children are living in cardboard homes, exposed to the elements and disease. You can make a difference by building a new, safe home for a family in need, building a latrine or helping make repairs to an orphanage. We will also distribute food and medical supplies and minister through evangelical outreach. The March, July and September trips will be led by First Methodist Houston. Cost: $250* |

| Led by First Methodist Houston, this trip is concurrent with Camp Hope, a week-long summer camp tailored to meet the needs of adults with physical and developmental disabilities. | This combination adult and youth team will partner with local churches in Sao Paulo to work in shanty towns and with the homeless. Thailand and China

| More than one million Burmese refugees are living in Thailand, having been driven from their country. Join us as we work with our partner school for Burmese children in Western Thailand, making repairs to the school and providing needed resources. The last two days of our trip will be a tour of the Great Wall of China. This mission is in partnership with First Methodist Houston. Cost: $3000* |

Kenya, Africa

The HIV/AIDS pandemic leaves one new orphan in Kenya every fourteen seconds, making the number of children overwhelming to those who want to give them love and care. Partnering with ZOE ministries, we will build a house for orphan children and be a part of the Giving Hope Empowerment Project, a ministry that is training orphans to become self-sufficient and care for younger siblings. This mission is in partnership with First Methodist Houston. Cost: $3200*

Cuba

Ninety miles off the coast of Florida, Cuba is a country that has been cut off from outside influence for more than fifty years. Cubans live on rations that are given out daily, and the average salary is $9 a month. Teams provide training, encouragement and much-needed support for Cuban believers. Steps For Preparation
1. APPLY NOW! Complete an application and return with deposit to the Church Office.
2. Obtain a valid passport. Applications are available at your local post office and on-line at http://travel.state.gov.
3. Attend training sessions and informational meetings (dates and times TBA)
Training Sessions
To help you prepare for your mission experience, there will be one to two team meetings. Here, you will meet your teammates, participate in team building activities, and get more information about your trip including an introduction to the city/country, travel logistics and packing information.
